Three situations make up most of our Golden calls, and each traces back to local conditions.
First, ants in the kitchen. Irrigated landscaping can create localized moisture around patios and garden beds, and heavy rain may displace ants and other soil pests, sending trails straight across countertops. We identify the species, follow the trail to the colony, and use bait plus crack-and-crevice treatment rather than blanket spraying.
Second, foundation and basement invaders. Freeze-thaw cycles open gaps around foundations, and spring snowmelt can increase basement moisture a combination that invites earwigs, spiders, and foraging ants into older ranch homes. We seal what we can and treat the perimeter.
Third, summer surges. Summer heat accelerates insect activity, so wasp nests under eaves and mosquito problems around standing water spike from June through August.
Check yourself: walk your foundation after a rain and look for ant trails or mud tubes. We serve 80401, 80403, 80419, and 80402.
