Three calls dominate our Fruita schedule, and each traces back to local conditions.
First: ants in the kitchen after a storm. When heavy rain or overwatering floods ant colonies in Fruita’s clay-heavy soil, workers relocate often straight into slab foundations and along kitchen counters.
We trace the trail to the entry point, treat the colony rather than just the visible workers, and seal the entry. Check the exterior slab after a storm; ants funneling along the foundation edge tell you where the colony moved.
Second: rodents in winter. Fruita’s winter cold pushes mice toward warm wall voids, and freeze-thaw cycles each spring open new quarter-inch gaps along foundations enough for a mouse. We inspect, exclude entry points, and place tamper-resistant stations where activity shows.
Third: termites and wood-destroying pests. Heavy spring storms and overwatered yards keep subterranean termites active in the valley, so we inspect slab edges and crawlspace framing for mud tubes and damage before treating.
We cover all of Fruita, including ZIP 81521, plus rodent exclusion, wasp nest removal, spider control, and bed bug treatment when the call calls for it.
